CITA CONFERENCE DATES ARE BEING POSTPONED TO MAY 5 – 7, 2024 DUE TO AN URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE CITY AND THEIR MAYOR
Following urgent meetings with the tourism and venue management, the Niagara Falls Mayor has announced publicly that they are now preparing for up to 1 million visitors due to the solar eclipse on the weekend and Monday of our annual CITA Conference. This influx of tourists to Niagara Falls is poised to set a record as the largest in the city’s history. Navigating to hotels may prove challenging, with travel times estimated to stretch to over six hours from Saint Catherine’s—a commute typically completed in approximately twenty minutes. Delays are also expected into Niagara Falls from surrounding major highways. This surge in visitors may strain cellular network bandwidth, impacting essential services relied upon by CITA members and delegates for their safety and communication.
We regret this inconvenience, which is beyond the control of CITA and the Board of Directors. Rest assured, the decision to reschedule the conference to May 5-7, 2024 was not made lightly. To ensure smooth resolution, CITA has taken the following steps:
· All hotel reservations are being shifted to the rescheduled dates.
· Your delegate registration is being shifted to the rescheduled dates.
· Exhibitor registrations and booth spaces are being shifted to the rescheduled dates.
